Effective immediately, Jason Van, Vice-President Finance, has stepped down into the Associate Vice-President Finance role. In addition, Jenna Leung, current Associate Vice President Finance, has been promoted to the Vice President Finance role for the upcoming 2019-2020 term.
“We are very fortunate to have someone as passionate and talented as Jenna Leung step into this role,” said Jason. “My decision is solely based on my current time constraints limiting due to recruit happening substantially earlier. This is a critical time period for me and as a result, my commitment to preparing for technical interviews takes precedence of my duties as VP Finance. I believe that this transition will be best for the entire organization and I am confident that Jenna’s leadership capabilities, communication skills, and proven track record of excellence will lead to improved executional and financial performance.”
“I am very excited to take on the Vice President Finance role and would like to thank Jason for the opportunity! It will certainly be a lot of work, but I am confident in the Finance and Audit Commissions and the 2019-2020 CUS team as a whole. Definitely looking forward to embarking in this journey,” said Jenna.
On behalf of the Commerce Undergraduate Society, we look forward to the meaningful contributions that both Jenna and Jason will make to the Sauder student body in the upcoming year.
