UBC Finance Club is proud to present to you: VENTURE CAPITAL & PRIVATE EQUITY COMPETITION! This is the only undergraduate venture capital competition in Canada and one of the few in North America! You can apply as an Entrepreneur Team (E Team) or a Private Investment Team (PI Team), and win one of the two $2000 prizes!
How it works:
Each team is allowed to have 3 – 4 members.
E Teams will be given a business case problem, from which they need to create an imaginary start-up company with a viable business idea with commercialization potential within the case guidelines. The E Teams will pitch their initiatives to the PI teams outlining their business plan, provide detailed analysis on the market, how they plan to implement it, and basic projected financial.
PI teams will first solve a preliminarily case involving valuation of a company. In the end, there will be a round of final negotiations between both the PI teams and entrepreneur teams.
