We encourage attendees to create a Twitter account if they don’t have one already, and to experiment a little beforehand. However, we will spend a little time going over Twitter basics. For the rest of the time, we will discuss topics that fall into two streams: personal and business.
Twitter can be a strong tool to help individuals develop and grow a personal brand before seeking jobs. Employers nowadays seek to connect with potential applicants through social media as well as in an interview room. Our speaker will give you advice on how to present yourself online, and What Not To Do.
As you may have noticed, many employers are hiring for student interns to kickstart their online presence and helm their social media campaigns. Our speaker will teach you how businesses use Twitter effectively – and how they’re set apart from single users – and you can become a valuable asset to your current or future company.
Please do bring a laptop or smartphone. Please do bring a friend.
We can’t wait to see you there!
