Networking Skills Workshop and Leaders of Tomorrow Info Session‏

Come and join your fellow UBC Students as they learn networking techniques from the Vancouver Board of Trade.  Networking is an essential life skill and as one of Western Canada’s largest and most active Business Associations, the Vancouver Board of Trade helps to connect thousands of people every year.  Guests will hear from Austin Nairn, Manager of the Board of Trade’s Leaders of Tomorrow (LOT) Mentorship Program.  In addition to networking techniques, Austin will be speaking about the unique LOT mentorship program of The Vancouver Board of Trade.

With over 1600 students and 700 mentors having participated to date, LOT is regarded as one of British Columbia’s most highly recognized student mentorship programs.  Based on the pillars of Mentorship, Networking, Volunteerism, and Leadership, LOT helps to provide students guidance, contacts, and avenues to apply their education in order to make a successful transition to the workforce.  In the last few years, LOT Students have had the benefit of hearing from many of the world’s top business and community leaders including Bill Clinton, Howard Schultz, Michaëlle Jean, and Stephen M.R. Covey.
