Entrepreneurship Competition
Take part in the Entrepreneurship Competition offered by the National Business and Technology Conference 2011 in collaboration with Research In Motion! Get a chance to win a cash prize and $30,000 worth of business advisory services from the MaRS Collaboration Centre to bring your business ideas into fruition. Have your business plans heard by seasoned entrepreneurs and innovation specialists of Research In Motion on March 18-19, 2011 at MaRS Discovery District in Toronto.
How to qualify:
1. Form a team that consists of up to four people (students or young professionals) with a maximum age of 30 in Canada. Include the name, year of study or degree completed (if applicable), program of specialization or professional occupation and e-mail address of each team member on the cover page of your Business Plan”s Executive Summary.
2. Submit a one-page Executive Summary (1,000 words maximum, single-spaced, Times New Roman, 12pt Font) by Sunday, February 27, 2011 at 11:59pm to Oyu Bayarsaikhan, Competitions Manager at oyu.bayarsaikhan@nspire.org. Small businesses that have been operating for no more than 18 months by the date of NBTC 2011 and have raised no more than $100,000 in funding are online casino eligible to participate.
3. The selected teams to enter Round 1 of the competition at the conference will be notified by Sunday, March 6, 2011 at midnight. Team members are encouraged to buy tickets before March 12, 2011 to save your spots at the conference. Your Business Plans will be evaluated based on technological feasibility, market penetration strategy, organizational structure and financial projections.
