========================
Attention Grads and continuing students! The Commerce Last Lecture is a new event for graduating and continuing students of the Sauder School of Business. Hosted by the Commerce Undergraduate Society, the lecture is intended to provide graduates (and others) with a thought provoking perspective on the road ahead as you transition from a student to a professional. This is also a parting gift from the CUS to its graduating members.

25110_254x191For our inaugural speaker, the Commerce Undergraduate Society is pleased to welcome Ben Dunlap.

Ben Dunlap is a true polymath, whose talents span poetry, opera, ballet, literature and administration. A Rhodes Scholar at Oxford, Professor Dunlap completed his PhD in English literature at Harvard, and is now the President of Wofford College, a small liberal arts school in South Carolina. He’s also a writer-producer for television, and his 19-part series The Renaissance has been adopted for use by more than 100 colleges. He has been a Senior Fulbright Lecturer in Snapbacksoutlets.com

, a moderator at the Aspen Institute and a faculty member of the Management Institute of Paris.

Before coming to Wofford, Ben held faculty appointments at both Harvard and the University of South Carolina. He has taught classes on a wide variety of subjects, from Asian history to creative writing. Ben was a speaker at the prestigious TED conference in 2007, and spoke alongside Bill Clinton, Richard Branson, and Paul Simon as one of TED’s “50 Remarkable People.”
