The Commerce Undergraduate Society seeks to bring you valuable experiences beyond those in a classroom to help you further your career, academic, and personal goals. We have developed a high calibre of conferences and events that have gained national and international attendance and recognition over the years. Conferences offer an opportunity to explore an industry through interactive and informational workshops, connect with like-minded students and professional delegates, be inspired by top executive keynote speakers, and often times to compete for cash prizes and internships. Chasing Sustainability

CUS Sustainability and Net Impact present Chasing Sustainability, a full-day conference packed with interactive workshops, networking sessions, and discussions. The conference connects Sauder undergraduate and MBA students with business leaders to engage in discussions around business and sustainability. Under the theme, Dare to Innovate for 2015, the conference will shed light on sustainability as a driving force behind innovation in business practices, models, processes, and products.

 

National Strategy and Consulting Competition and Conference (NSCC)

Founded in 2013, the National Strategy Consulting Competition & Conference (NSCC) is a comprehensive opportunity for students across Canada to learn about strategy consulting. This annual event brings together the nation’s top undergraduate and MBA talent in a two-day competition and one-day conference to showcase their knowledge and abilities to respected professionals in the consulting industry.

Pacific Venture Capital Competition and Conference (PVCC)

The 8th annual Pacific Venture Capital Conference and Competition (“PVCC”) is a national stage designed for undergraduate and MBA students to present business ideas and financial valuations to an audience of entrepreneurial leaders, senior venture capitalists, and top industry professionals across North America.Starting with only two participating universities in British Columbia, the Pacific Venture Capital Conference and Competition (PVCC) has grown to over 20 participating universities. From the coast of Vancouver to the coast of Hong Kong, PVCC has attracted talented students from a range of geographic areas.

Social Enterprise Conference

The second annual Social Enterprise Conference will be held on the beautiful UBC Vancouver campus on March 12th of 2016. Delegates will hear from thought leaders who have created immense scalable change within their respective fields as well as fellow students who have started their own social ventures. Taking it one step further, delegates will also be challenged to think critically about how they can innovatively affect change and present their ideas under the mentorship of successful social entrepreneurs.

National Investment Banking Competition and Conference (NIBC)

Founded in 2007, the National Investment Banking Competition & Conference (NIBC) is an established organization which brings together students from 100 universities and 150 professionals in an annual Case Competition and Conference which run parallel to each other. In 2015, the Competition attracted over 375 competing teams comprised of 947 Undergraduate and Graduate students from top schools across North America with the finalists competing in the Final Round in January 2015 in front of over 300 students and 150 professionals attending the Conference. With the generous contribution and participation of 17 investment banks, 12 private equity and asset management firms as well as 14 law firms, accounting firms and listed corporations, NIBC 2015 offered one of the most significant opportunities for students in North America to learn about investment banking.
