UBC Student Leadership Conference – LAST WEEK TO REGISTER!

Register for UBC’s Student Leadership Conference (Saturday, January 9th)!
The Student Leadership Conference is UBC’s largest student-run conference, providing over 1100 delegates with the opportunity to develop their leadership skills through engaging workshops and speakers.

The theme this year is “Think Change, Press Play”. “Think Change – Press Play” is about putting impactful ideas into action. We believe that each and everyone of us have ideas for positive change, but leadership is also about having the motivation and courage to put those visions in motion. Not only does the SLC hopes to be a source of inspiration for emerging and current leaders to think change, but to also be a platform of resources in order to help facilitate motion and action.

This year’s conference will take place on January 9, 2010. Visit slc.ubc.ca for more information and to register!

Keynote Speaker
The SLC is also very excited to announce Lieutenant-General Roméo A. Dallaire as this year’s Keynote Speaker! The Honourable Dallaire, currently serving as a Canadian Senator, is the author of Shake Hands With The Devil – the failure of humanity in Rwanda, an internationally recognized best selling book on the Rwanda genocide based on his experiences in and after the United Nations Mission to Rwanda in 1993-94.
