About the AMS Corner
The Alma Mater Society was founded on October 15th of 1915. 100 years from its conception, the society represents over 48,000 students here at UBC.
Officially, the AMS strives to improve the quality of the educational, social, and personal lives of UBC Students. Within the AMS is AMS Council, a caucus made up of elected representatives from each faculty.
As a Representative, the Representative’s primary task is to serve as a link between the two student bodies; the AMS and the CUS.

If you are a commerce student, you are a member of both organizations! As such, our goal as AMS Representatives is to connect you with whats most important to you – whether that be club/hiring opportunities, cheaper food or more on-campus events.
